Each year, Tech Week gathers thousands of founders, investors, and tech professionals across the US, and 2025 was no exception. This time, I had the opportunity to attend San Francisco and Los Angeles Tech Week. Both cities are frequent stops for us at Devlane when visiting clients, but being part of these events and connecting with new people always brings fresh energy and perspective.
To wrap up the trip, I also spent a few days in New York. It was the perfect way to close this U.S. tour, combining inspiration from the West Coast’s innovation scene with meaningful conversations in one of the world’s most dynamic business hubs.
At Devlane, we’re constantly strengthening our presence across the U.S., connecting in person with the people and companies shaping the future of technology. Here’s a recap of what we experienced and learned along the way.

San Francisco Tech Week
The energy in San Francisco during Tech Week was truly unmatched. Across dozens of micro-events, panels, and networking sessions, the city buzzed with ideas and collaboration.
We joined an incredible lineup of gatherings: from NEXT.BIO 2025 to Fintech House SF, Mind the Gap: Bridging Product Vision & AI Coding, and the DevTools Community Night. Each event offered a unique lens into the next wave of technological transformation.
Key industries in focus
Fintech
San Francisco reaffirmed its leadership in fintech innovation. Many startups and VCs are exploring the next generation of embedded finance, data-driven banking, and infrastructure modernization, areas where our nearshore engineering model can bring immediate scalability and speed.
Healthcare & Biotechnology
AI is reshaping life sciences and healthcare, and events like NEXT.BIO 2025 made it clear: the intersection of data, technology, and biotech is accelerating. From AI-assisted drug discovery to healthtech compliance, collaboration between tech talent and medical innovation is at an all-time high.
Artificial Intelligence
Virtually every session included AI in some capacity, not as a buzzword, but as a foundation. Conversations around “Agentic AI” and workforce transformation highlight that companies are looking for partners who can help them build and scale AI-driven teams responsibly and effectively.
Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Tech
Beyond the “front-end” of fintech, biotech and AI, another strong theme at SF and LA was cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise tech. According to the official Tech Week schedule, sessions included “Celebrating the Cyber60: Where Cybersecurity Innovation Meets Investment” and deep dives into AI infrastructure and generative-media infrastructure.
This trend reflects how many U.S. companies are seeking engineering partners who understand not only how to build great products, but also how to design secure, scalable infrastructures, manage global talent operations, and implement robust risk-mitigation frameworks.
Los Angeles Tech Week
Heading south, LA Tech Week brought a distinctly different energy. From Santa Monica to Venice, the tone was collaborative, creative, and community-driven.
While San Francisco leaned toward deep-tech and investment, Los Angeles showcased the blend of technology, media, and talent that defines the city’s innovation ecosystem. Conversations around AI in entertainment, fashion tech, and creator tools highlighted how engineering and creativity are converging.
For Devlane, it was a great opportunity to explore partnerships with companies innovating at the intersection of design, data, and technology. Reaffirming that nearshore engineering isn’t just for fintech or SaaS, but for any industry where quality software talent drives impact.
How to make the most of Tech Week
After attending several editions of Tech Week, one thing has become clear: preparation is everything. With dozens of overlapping events, panels, and networking sessions, the week can move fast, so having a plan helps you make the most of every connection and conversation.
Here are a few practical tips for anyone planning to attend:

- Map your contacts early.
Check who from your network will be in town. Reach out ahead of time and set up short coffee chats or informal catch-ups around event hours, it makes spontaneous networking much smoother once you’re on site. - Curate your agenda.
There are countless events, so focus on the ones that align with your interests or industry. Whether you’re into AI, biotech, or fintech, choose a few high-impact sessions instead of trying to be everywhere at once. - Stay flexible.
Some of the most valuable conversations happen outside the official agenda: in line for coffee, during after-hours meetups, or while walking between venues. Keep time open for those unexpected moments. - Be clear about your story.
You don’t need a “sales pitch,” but knowing how to introduce yourself and what you’re working on helps start meaningful discussions. A simple, authentic 30-second summary goes a long way. - Follow up thoughtfully.
A short message after meeting someone, even just to say you enjoyed the chat, keeps the connection alive and can lead to future collaborations, partnerships, or opportunities.
A Final Stop in New York
Throughout this trip, we had the chance to meet several of our clients, both in San Francisco and Los Angeles, to discuss ongoing projects, new challenges, and future plans. These conversations are always a highlight of our visits, allowing us to strengthen relationships and gain valuable on-the-ground insights from the teams we collaborate with every day.
We wrapped up the journey in New York, where we continued those conversations with partners and clients across different industries. It’s always rewarding to reconnect in person, exchanging ideas, reviewing progress, and exploring how our teams in Latin America can keep supporting their next milestones.
At Devlane, we firmly believe that the success of nearshore partnerships starts with relationships first and logistics second. Meeting face-to-face reinforces the trust that powers long-term collaboration and helps us stay aligned with our clients’ evolving needs.

Wrapping Up: Building Bridges Across Borders
Visiting the U.S. regularly gives us a front-row seat to the innovation shaping today’s tech landscape. From attending events like Tech Week to meeting with clients and partners across different cities, each trip strengthens the connections that make this ecosystem thrive.
These moments remind us of the importance of staying close, not only to understand where technology is heading, but to share ideas, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships that go beyond projects.
At Devlane, we’ll continue bridging teams across borders, learning from every encounter, and being present in the conversations that define the future of tech. Whether it’s in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, or beyond. You’ll always find someone from our team around, ready to connect and exchange ideas.
